A group of family and friends came together to donate personal protective equipment to the District Hospital in Saltpond, in the Central Region of Ghana. This was in response to a request for support relayed by a friend of the hospital. On the very day of the donation, one of the hospital's two infrared thermometers had conked out on them, and the three thermometers that were among the items donated were very much appreciated.

The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Danso, expressed the appreciation of the hospital to all those that contributed to the initiative. He commented that the PPEs were mainly disposable causing the hospital to run short of supplies quite often. He went on to invite other friends of Saltpond, sympathisers and organisations to complement the efforts of government in the fight against the coronavirus.
